Is there an option to show the item numbers/ids on backlog items?

Yes, you can configure this in your personal account page in the settings in Scrumwise, in the "Other settings" section:

You can also get the item or task number shown on cards in task boards and Kanban boards by checking the "Show item/task number on cards" checkbox in the "Cards" section of your personal settings.
