Why does Scrumwise keep failing with an internal error?
If you experience that Scrumwise repeatedly fails with an internal error unrelated to any specific action that you perform in Scrumwise, this is most likely because you have an extension installed in your browser that interferes with Scrumwise. For example, this may happen with some ad blockers and antivirus tools.
If you experience this, here is what you can try:
- Disable the extensions that may cause problems, and see if this solves the problem.
- If you determine that an extension causes problems, you may be able to configure the extension to not be active while Scrumwise is running. For example, in an ad blocker, you may be able to whitelist our domain scrumwise.com.
If you're comfortable with using the developer panel in your browser, you can also try looking at the console output in the developer panel when the internal error occurs. If you see an error in the console output that occurs in a JavaScript file whose filename doesn't start with "scrumwise" or "launcher", this indicates that code not belonging to Scrumwise may be running next to Scrumwise. By looking at the filename of that code, you may be able to determine which extension this code comes from, and disable or reconfigure that extension.
If this doesn't solve your problem, don't hesitate to contact us or write us at support@scrumwise.com. We guarantee that we can find a solution, whatever the problem is.
